I’m A strategist, writer, and teacher.

I’ve worked in corporate America for over 20 years as a trusted executive advisor and change leader for some of the world’s best-known companies.

I’ve also taken a few ‘big leaps’ away from corporate, including:

  • a leap into an entirely different career,

  • a leap to a different country, and

  • a leap toward following my purpose.

Now, I help others like me craft their own life story and find life beyond the one-size-fits-all path.

I help black women leaders reclaim their power at work & in relationships through storytelling, shadow work and mindset shifts.

I help would-be corporate dropouts become corporate graduates by launching a new career, launching a digital business or leaning into their purpose.

I help purpose-driven organizations supercharge their missions by becoming self-sustaining. digitally-enabled social enterprises.

I help small but mighty businesses, owners and teams bring their big ideas to life through visioning, goal-setting and mindful work habits.

My Backstory

I believe that:

Life is a series of experiments.

Work is a school / playground for practicing with your peers.

Relationships are mirrors to help you learn about yourself.

I started my career as a management consultant for one of the Big 4 consulting firms. After 5 years and a pretty successful career, I left.

Everyone thought I was crazy.

“How could you leave that good job?”

But I had my own ideas about life and work.

I saw corporate as a means to an end. A place where I could gain new skills, and use my own talents while developing relationships with like-minded colleagues. But life was still somewhere out there.

So, I decided to go explore and experiment a bit. Take time off to start a business. After a few years of being a solopreneur, I decided to return to corporate. In an entirely different industry. Where I gained a whole new set of skills and colleagues.

I would repeat this cycle of leaving corporate to explore life and returning to corporate to gain new skills 3 more times over the next several years.

During that time, I…

  Changed my name.

Renovated 3 homes.

Moved back to my hometown.

Moved to another country. 3 times.

I worked as:

A freelance writer.

A creative director.

An IT project manager.

An English language teacher.

And a corporate executive.

So, what did I learn from all of that?

Lesson 1: I have the power to create the kind of life I dreamed of.

Lesson 2: The more you follow your interests, the more fulfillment you'll find.

If you've read this far, you're probably like me - bold, adventurous, creative and unapologetic.

I know that the unconventional path can be a lonely one, with hardly anyone to turn to for been-there-done-that advice.

That's why I'm so passionate about helping you

become the writer of your own story and

create your own path to success and fulfillment.

Are you ready to write your story?
